In 2022, the Royal Mint of England introduced a new series to the delight of historians and fans of the monarchy. Following the smashing success of the Queen’s Beasts Series, the Royal Mint introduced the new Tudor Beasts Series. The Yale of Beaufort is the second coin release of the British Tudor Beasts series from the prestigious Royal Mint.

The Royal Tudor Beasts collection is inspired by the stone sculptures located on the Moat Bridge of the Hampton Court Palace. The Yale of Beaufort is a mythical beast with goat or antelope characteristics. According to the legend, the horns of the mythical Yale can turn independently, and white and gold spots cover the creature.

On the obverse of 2023 British Silver Tudor Beasts Yale of Beaufort Coins, you will find the fifth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here at the age of 89 in right-profile relief. The Queen is depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem, an official piece from the Crown Jewels.

The reverse side of the 2023 w oz Silver Tudor Beasts Yale of Beaufort Coin features a new look at the mighty Yale of Beaufort. Also featured in the Queen’s Beasts Series, this new depiction shows the Yale on its hind legs supporting the Arms of Jane Seymour. King Henry VIII’s third wife, Jane Seymour’s Arms were supported by the Yale because it symbolizes strong defense and was intended to reinforce her authority as the king’s wife.
